When Kate, a wedding planner from Glint Events, first introduced me to Tori and Aquiles, I was told that the bride wanted one thing: a spectacular flat lay. Say no more! As a wedding stationery designer, that is music to my ears. Tori is truly a bride after my own heart. Stationery and paper goods were at the very top of her priority list, and she wanted her stationery to be unique, interesting, and creative. I was inspired by her theme, her venue at Dover Hall, and the amazing vendor team we worked with to create something richly textured and personal!

The Wedding Stationery Design Process
The theme for Tori and Aquiles’s wedding was “Ralph Lauren meets English Hunt Club.” While I was hesitant at first, the moment I saw the wedding planner’s color palette, I fell absolutely in love. We used light blue and olive green mixed with a traditional fall palette, as well as interesting patterns, textures, and layers to create something truly spectacular. After scouring photos of Dover Hall, a sprawling European estate with thick ivy climbing the brickwork, I began to catch the vision.
Once I had an idea, I couldn’t wait to start designing. I kept asking myself, “If Ralph Lauren were to send a wedding invitation, what would it look like?” Kate from Glint Events accompanied my wild imagination, and together we brought wax seals, plaid fabrics, monogram designs, and leather and wood elements to the bride for approval. By the end of the design stage, we had a beautifully illustrated wedding invitation tied with velvet and accented with a monogram engraved in wood. It was cozy, chic, and perfectly on theme.

From Invitations to Signage: Day-of Stationery at Dover Hall
I always say that your stationery sets the tone and expectation for your wedding day, and that was especially true for Tori and Aquiles’s wedding at Dover Hall! All of the wedding day stationery, from the bar signage to the table numbers, perfectly matched the invitations we had designed. Kate procured gorgeous plaid linens that matched the designs on the stationery, and we even used the same calligrapher to ensure the escort cards would match the envelopes! Everything was beautiful, cohesive, and exactly what Tori had envisioned.
The crowning jewel, though, was the detail booklets. Along with the invitation, each guest received a booklet with the timeline and other important details for the wedding day. But instead of a simple paper booklet, we designed a small leather and vellum booklet secured with brass and hand-bound. My hands were sore for days after assembling them, but seeing the way the booklets tied into the rest of the design… well, I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Wedding Stationery Designer
If you know me, you know I love a challenge, and designing something for a bride who loves stationery as much as Tori was a lot of pressure! But ultimately, I had so much fun taking the couple’s inspiration and turning it into something tangible. There were so many unique and creative aspects to Tori and Aquiles’s wedding, and I was so honored to be part of bringing it to life!
I hired Fig. 2 Design to design the stationery for Tori’s wedding because Tori told me on her inquiry call that Invitations and Papers were her number one priority. The end result was a magical production of so many details that not only matched the vision, but made it even better. I especially appreciate how Claudia threw all kinds of ideas at Tori – things she’d never even thought of. And the ideas were not wild and out there; they were so perfectly spot on, but still unique. She created a true experience.
