How customizable are the different invitation suites?

Each suite is customizable by typeface and color at no additional charge. With regards to size and format, if you choose an invitation that was designed and shown as medium size square, but you want it in a large square or rectangular format, there is a small fee for the layout change.

What is the difference between digital, offset, and letterpress printing?

Digital printing is a technique similar to inkjet or laser printing. Because bold saturated colors tend to create a sheen when printed digitally, we recommend using soft pastel colors for designs with heavy coverage or bold colors for designs with minimal ink coverage. The two biggest advantages to digital printing are 1) you can have as many colors as you wish at no additional cost and 2) it is the least expensive of the three printing methods. It's a great option for day of pieces that need to be customized, such as escort cards, and table numbers.

Offset printing prices are based on the number of colors you choose. Unlike digital printing where the printer mixes 4 colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black), in offset printing you choose the color as if you were picking a color to paint a wall, so the color is already pre-mixed.

Letterpress printing is similar to offset in regards to color, however the process is much more labor intensive. Letterpress is a very old printing technique (from the 1400s) that presses artwork or type into paper leaving behind a luxurious feel and distinctive impression.

How many different colors do you offer?

For offset and digital printing, we offer 45 different colors to choose from. We offer 20 of those colors for letterpress printing. However, we understand that color is subjective, so if you don't see the color you were hoping for, we can color match for you for a small fee. Just send us a Pantone swatch or or a piece of fabric and we will do the Pantone matching for you. Click the image on the left to see all the colors we offer!

Do you offer different typefaces other than the one's shown on each sample?

Yes! We have a variety of typefaces to choose from. However, keep in mind that the typefaces shown with each design were selected to complement the style of that suite.

What are the prices for invitations?

Because we offer three different printing methods, we are able to help with a variety of budgets. Sample pricing based on a standard 4-piece set (invitation, mailing envelope, reply card, reply envelope), quantity of 100, printed in 2 color is as follows:
digital: $750
offset: $1,600 (includes one additional card of choice)
letterpress: $1,980

Letterpress and offset are priced á la carte, whereas offset is priced in groups as described.

Is it possible to order invitation samples or color swatch samples?

Absolutely! The majority of our samples are letterpress and offset (as seen here on the site), though we do have a few samples printed digitally. Each invitation set sample is $10. Should you decide to place your order with Fig. 2, the amount you pay in samples will serve as a credit towards your final order. Included with your oder of invitation samples are 2 color swatches of your choice.
